There's a series of repeating dust bunnies all over the image, which suggests it was photographed as a mosaic with a small aperture (which exacebates sensor dust) and stitched. Unfortunate though, as it requires cloning over them and falsifying the cracks in the paint in order to fix it. Doable, but not as nice as not having them there in the first place.

That's right about dust bunnies. There's one just above the eyebrow on the right of the image and that's repeated directly below on the bosom just above the dress. I'm surprised the 'amateur' who warmed this to their satisfaction let them go :) ...
