Khorsheed and her sister, Arabiya
Khorsheed formed one of the first Palestinian's women resistance organizations in 1933, naming it the Zahrat al-Uqhawan or "Chrysanthemum Flowers". The organization collected funds to support displaced families as well as the purchase of weapons for the resistance.

When Jaffa fell in 1948, Khorsheed was one of the thousands of refugees driven to the sea. She fled to Egypt, then
