In 1935 he refocused the business to specialise in the construction of tank wagons and special wagons. At its peak the Fauvet-Girel company employed around 1000 workers. The company merged with Arbel in 1985, a result of which was restructuring which saw the closure of the Saint-Laurent-Blangy factory in 1990. 216:
