Therefore, its difficult to make generalizations that fully apply to all "chapters"- the major ones have their own unique histories (one of them did/does, in fact, have some organization - a source of controversy). therefore it makes sense to have separate descriptions. (If nothing else, it encourages authors familiar with each group to take responsibility for their own descriptions - as people in Portland, LA, and SF have begun to do, so far. hopefully we'll see more from Seattle, Chicago, NYC, London, Tokyo, et cetera).
