been fooled from what has been heard and reported from the major media that has covered it and it is a crying shame. I have followed all this every day since Lavoy was shot and ive watched and listened to hundreds of hours of radio interviews and videos because you must go through 10 bogus ones to find one honest and accurate one. Anywho this article has information about the fbi's shots and the roadblock that are flat out false and intentional lies and that information can be easally accessed by a 5 minute search on google. I dont expect you to cover the entire story or even portray it as it really was but get those lies off here please. We trust you as a great source of information and this has completely and totally ruined that for me and you will totallly loose all my trust along with everyone else who i can possibly tell if you dont correct this information. This man was my personal hero and if you care to spend the time and find out who they really were and what they stand for and why i promise you you will be heartbroken and also motivated to do good as well. He was a great man and this is a wonderful family please please dont put them down. Especially with flat out false information and lies. That roadblock was an illegal trap and the man that "peacefully exited the vehicle and surrendered" did so because of the first shot that was fired by the fbi. There is a reason they dont show or tell us that in the videos. Then the second shot fired from an fbi sniper was the instant lavoy stepped out of the truck before he even had a chance to put his hands up. There is a reason there was no audio in the first videos. The Oregon State Police were tricked and bullied by the FBI to do the dirty work and to take the wrap for all of this. I dont blame them because they were bullied and taken advantage of and tricked. Please please either correct this or just take it down. Dont put them or there families down if your not gonna take the time and to the real reasearch and understand there true stories and why they are the way they are.

back in on a controversial article was just to stick my toe in the water again, so to speak. This return to anything potentially controversial on WP is all very tentative for me right now. The only thing that really interests me at all after this would be that Wiki
Project as I first started it, but even that doesn't look very likely to succeed right about now. We are both trying to do what we think is best. I certainly take no offence at your trying to do your best. Thank you for the suggestion though. I really do appreciate it.

335:. We've got information about his life prior to the protests, his involvement in the 2014 standoff, and his interviews during the ~6 week 2016 standoff prior to his death. None of that is cleanly grouped with his shooting, and a stand-alone article on the shooting is unnecessary because we can cover it here.
430:
This is a very very sad and extremely inaccurate story of a very great man and a very great family. I understand that there is a massive agenda by out highest levels of government and media to cover up this entire situation and i know exactly why more than most people. Almost everybody in america has

I have to admit, I must be getting old. All of the admin stuff today was a bit "draining" for me. I took a sort of vacation from editing any controversial articles on WP for the last year, and I'm seriously wondering if it is worth it for myself right about now. The main reason I was willing to jump
241:
Our article has 1. Has a couple biographical factoids we only learned in
Occupation reporting and which are of dubious encyclopedic value, 2. Has a brief summary of his role at the occupation, which is also covered at the main occupation article and/or timeline article 3. And the rest is all about

I would tend to oppose, as he was the spokesperson for the
Occupiers, he did have a certain personal philosophy about the whole Occupation that he espoused and taught others of in his many press conferences, and he was notable for more than merely his death, in so far as I can tell. Scott P. (talk)
248:
Notice that we have nothing about his birthplace, parentage, where he grew up, significant events during adolescence, what he did before he hooked up with Bundys.... it's just not a biographical article. It's coverage of the main thing he's known for the occupation, and the part expounded here is

Again, we just don't have biographical details of the guy's life, and he is only seriously known in connection to the

which gave
Finicum just 2-3 sentences. So despite the book's publication before the occupation, it was only noticed as a result of the occupation. Nonetheless, as I mentioned in a later thread, the book probably merits its own article. Is that something that would interest you?
287:
Before you go, the book is an interesting second point. Would the book have been noticed by anyone if it had not been for the occupation? Probably not. A google news search limited to 2015 (the year of publication and prior to the occupation in 2016) yielded just

You haven't specified what changes you would like to have done. If you have reliable sources that indicate the situation is different than that described in the article, let's hear it (and the sources).

Per
Notability(People), one should only have an article if one is notable for more than a single main thing. LaVoy is not, and that's why the only significant unique stuff in our article is about the

adding the adjective "controversial" is biased and doesn't give any useful information; here's the usage: "claim by controversial Nevada legislator

An inordinate number of the article's citations are authored by "Zietz, Les", which name incidentally matches that of the passionate contributor
