It's unfortunate that whoever created that website didn't bother to attribute their source as Knowledge and so caused this confusing situation. I've always been told (by actual Yupik-speaking people in the area) that "Kachemak" actually means "Smokey Bay" so I've been interested to know where they claim that it meant something entirely different was coming from. I've never met anyone in the actual area who has ever heard this other supposed meaning, but of course that's my own
