understood that my information should be taken as reliable information as well. Not only did Brian Carroll play in my band when he was 18 and 19 yrs old but Pebber has been a friend of mine for over 20 years. And I have been associated with the music store owners where Brian took lessons from Pebber for 30 years. I do not understand the importance of Brian taking a few guitar lessons from Paul Gilbert when most of his studies came through Pebber Brown. Just because someone is famous should not elevate them above someone that is not as well known. Anyone can search youtube and find videos of Young Buckethead where Maximum Bob calls Pebber Brown the Master of Scales and everything Modal. In fact in the video Buckethead reminds Maximum Bob to mention it. Buckethead also pays tribute to Pebber in another online youtube video that was filmed at the music store he took lessons at for many many years. This was just 6 yrs or so ago for their 25th anniversary event. I would say that what I posted regarding Pebber Brown and Brian's other teachers such as Johnny Fortune, Max McGuire and others be included as documented history here on wiki. If interested I can arrange an interview with Pebber Brown for complete accuracy. WildHorseStudios1421 (

I handle 100% of the administration of that project because there's not enough active membership to keep features like the collaboration of the week, things to do, or even the announcements section running. Really the only useful feature is the assessement department, which helps me keep track of recent changes and recognize which articles need what kind of work. I'd love to see the project get bigger, but as of right now it only stays afloat because I have a vested interest in it. 1733:
or album-related article, so there's really no point in setting up a separate MoS or assessment dept. The essential questions to ask when considering growing from a task force to a full project are: is the subject (Buckethead) different enough from other guitarist-related topics that it requires its own set of guidelines, evaluation criteria, and administration? Does it encompass enough articles to make all this logistical overhead worth it? Will it attract enough participation that it will be able to perpetuate itself, or will it die out?
2101:). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found 173: 145: 613:
the Colma part and Death Cube K, then the Guns N Roses and Ozzy, then we would have Jordan and finally we would have Science Faxtion and Guns N' Roses again and thats it. He doesnt talk too much in fact he doesnt talk at all so its very hard to know about thim or the most relevant releases beacose there is hardly any critic or something releated talking about Buckethead albums.--

broad as punk rock and currently covering 700 articles we only have 30 active members. So even there a lot of the features go unused (collaboration of the week, manual of style, etc.). I've got high hopes for that one since the scope is much broader, but again I do a majority of the overhead like maintaining the categories & checking the assessments.

could do more work on articles. No amount of renaming, or changing the structure of what we are would really attract more members, or make our work ethic any better. we just need to get our shit together, organize, make a list of what we need and really act on it, an d maybe put posts on some buckethead forums if we really need more members.
1466:
Im not very good at understanding the bureaucracy of wikipedia. Exactly how would being a full wikiproject be different from a task force in terms of what we can do, what we're allowed? i think, honestly, our group is too specific to be a full wikiproject, i think it's fine the way it is, although we

The albums page has 75 albums. It includes some of the Viggo stuff (some have (viggo mortensen) in parenthesis next to the album, some dont.) it does not include cornbugs, or deli creeps, etc...theres so much not on there!! My question is, what is the goal for this page/article. This discog is good,
1732:
As a task force you don't need all this overhead, because you're working with the tools that your parent project already has in place. For example, your manual of style and criteria of assessment for a Buckethead-related article isn't going to be any different from that of any other guitarist, band,
1639:
I agree with the general direction of the discussion, i think we're doing decently so far considering that we are just 9 people so i would be in favor of keeping the task force. I can help with some of the linguistic aspects as i have been, mainly small things like spelling and grammar but i'll take

and btw, we have that video of maximum bob. from that, we can get enough facts about his name, life, location and family to put together a real article about him. I wrote an article earlier this year, but it got taken off because it didnt have any real sources. now we have the sources. we can do it.
801:
Someone can ask the editors/admin to put up that page again in one of our user pages so we can make it good, and if someone can find sources, then we can bring it back. And btw, he was said in a buckethead history video (one of their early tapes) that his name was Bob Hack. Is this real? A response
572:
What I wanna do is restructure the article and rewrite the full career section. How about making a section only about his solo work first and then another section about his band projects? Why? Simple: The article says really nothing about the styles of the albums and also nothing about the evolution
2594:
We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you?
2206:
I have updated information regarding Pebber Brown twice now and it gets deleted. I understood that people can't write info regarding themselves (I may be wrong on this) But Pebber would be the most verifiable source as to who taught Brian guitar lessons. If he is unable to post then it should be

it is maybe time to overthink the whole project. This taskforce has been started two months ago without knowing how good it would work. It works not that bad I think. I hoped some more guys from the TK boards would participate but as always you can't have everything. I think it was a bigger success

1421:
Thanks for your quick response. I don't know the exact number of pages we cover at the moment but of course it only would make sense if some additional members worked on a broader field (related artists mentioned above). This could multiply the number of pages in a second. What would you suggest a

Hey guys I joined so I can do my part improving the quality of Buckethead articles just let me know if there's anything i can do. I already made a small change to the template, i noticed that the song Welcome to Bucketheadland has an article but wasn't linked to so i added it under notable songs.

the album pages of Viggo Mortensen are on their way, i would apreciate if someone correct them if theres any problem, calculate the lenght of each album, conecting the missing points to each artist, and putting the picture, ill be creating the pages of the rest of his albums in some days from now,
612:
I only put the names of the most relevant band and albums i didnt want to put the rest beacose its to unnesesary like the part about freekbass i was planning of removing that from the main page. I put them because if we didnt i would have so little like the first part is ok, the we would only have

1299:
Hi, welcome on board! Just had a look on your recent edits and hell yes, I didn't think there were still so many small spelling errors. You did a good job on that! There's a Todo-list on the project page, so if you have a bit of spare time... You also can add tasks or wishes to the list or make a

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to share my own experiences. Don't let this discourage you; if enough people feel that this justifies a full project, then go for it, but realize it takes a lot of work to maintain and there's a chance you'll end up doing all that work yourself. On a cursory

You're the 2nd to tell me that it would be too much work to have a full project. What's the difference? I don't see any really. Setting this thing up was some hours. The code was mainly stolen from other projects. I spent a whole weekend in February to set up the Wikia thing (a complete waste of

The task force is good; I think it is run fairly well. DO NOT make it a full Project, that will be too much work. Also, DO NOT include related artists' work, Buckethead and his is enough for now. No Bucket articles are Featured, or even Good, so we need to bring them up to scratch. Articles need

Hi there! Yes, I know. It's a question of definition, what's a Buckethead album and what is not. You're right about the Cornbugs, they should be in. The Creeps don't have album articles, since "Dawn of..." is merged into the band's main article and the two demo tapes don't match the notability

I don't think this task force covers enough articles (I took a look at the list of articles, and discounting the redirects & dab pages it is only a few dozen), nor is likely to attract enough members (it currently only has 9), to require expansion into a full project. See

articles and changes in assessment can be done manually in a task force this size. You might also add links to the manuals of style for the guitarists, albums, and musicians projects from your main page, as these are the article guidelines you're going to be following.

Today I had a full run through the article and made lots of small changes. I doubt we can improve this article much without making really big changes. But I don't wanna do them without asking others. Plus, I'll need some help for sure. At least some readers.

glance it looks like this task force is doing a great job so far, and could use just a few organizational tweaks (ie. organizing articles by quality) that would help set some clear goals. --
