Hi. Not sure if you have applied for this or not but in a recent article on a 2004 independent Filipino movie I found this to be an incredible resource and found lots of Filipino newspaper articles not picked up by google. I strongly recommend this for anyone who edits articles on films and cinema personalities to get this asap as it wil be an invaluable research tool and will often turn up detailed articles which will not appear in google. You can gain access to the full articles by applying for it at Knowledge:HighBeam/Applications. For sure it'll have tons on Indian actors and films which so far you've been unable to access on google. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:48, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Gulebakavali
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Knowledge. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Gulebakavali requesting that it be speedily deleted from Knowledge. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Knowledge:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Knowledge's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:02, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

We've included a retrospective on the changes and progress TWL has seen over the last year, the results of the survey TWL participants completed in December, some of our plans for the future, a second interview with a Wiki Love Libraries coordinator, and more. Here's to 2014 being a year of expansion and innovation for TWL!
The Knowledge Library completed the first 6 months of its Individual Engagement grant last week. Here's where we are and what we've done:
- Increased access to sources: 1500 editors signed up for 3700 free accounts, individually worth over $500,000, with usage increases of 400-600%
- Deep networking: Built relationships with Credo, HighBeam, Questia, JSTOR, Cochrane, LexisNexis, EBSCO, New York Times, and OCLC
- New pilot projects: Started the Knowledge Visiting Scholar project to empower university-affiliated Knowledge researchers
- Developed community: Created portal connecting 250 newsletter recipients, 30 library members, 3 volunteer coordinators, and 2 part-time contractors
- Tech scoped: Spec'd out a reference tool for linking to full-text sources and established a basis for OAuth integration
- Broad outreach: Wrote a feature article for Library Journal's The Digital Shift; presenting at the American Library Association annual meeting

The article Kalyanam has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable future film project
While all constructive contributions to Knowledge are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. BOVINEBOY2008 17:29, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Devadasu 1953.JPG
Thank you for uploading File:Devadasu 1953.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Knowledge may not meet the criteria required by Knowledge:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Knowledge:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Knowledge policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 17:57, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Aditya 369.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Aditya 369.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Knowledge under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Knowledge. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Knowledge (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 19:23, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Vinod Kumar
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Vinod Kumar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Knowledge. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
~ Nahid 17:37, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Sagara Sangamam.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Sagara Sangamam.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Knowledge. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Knowledge (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
Sagara Sangamam
Hello sir.
I am Pavan Jandhyala. I know that you are a well acclaimed wiki user in Telugu Knowledge and you deserve a standing ovation for your contributions there and here in English Knowledge also. I know that my edit would nearly constitute to Vandalism. But that was never my intention. I just wanted to replace the DVD cover uploaded by you with the theatrical release poster only because of 2 reasons. First one, when a poster is available, it as reasonable to use it when compared to a DVD cover because both are Non free contents that can be used and second one, a poster is far more better than a DVD cover because the former brings originality to the whole article giving it a very true feel instead of a DVD cover which does not give that in spite of its eternal beauty and design. Also the copyright would lie with the production company in the case of a poster while the copyright would lie with DVD company in the case of DVD cover and i feel that the production company should be deserving it. Anyways in absence of a poster, a DVD cover is 100% acceptable for usage in Knowledge for illustration. Please try to understand the same. If you feel still it is an act of vandalism, i have really no objections to obey the further developments.
Thank you.
Yours Sincerely and Truly, Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:25, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- I do not know the difference. I thought the theatrical release poster is of poor quality and replaced it with DVD cover. Sorry. You have undone my edit. Thank you.Dr. Rajasekhar A. 05:25, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
The Knowledge Library: New Account Coordinators Needed
Hi Books & Bytes recipients: The Knowledge Library has been expanding rapidly and we need some help! We currently have 10 signups for free account access open and several more in the works... In order to help with those signups, distribute access codes, and manage accounts we'll need 2-3 more Account Coordinators.
It takes about an hour to get up and running and then only takes a couple hours per week, flexible depending upon your schedule and routine. If you're interested in helping out, please drop a note in the next week at my talk page or shoot me an email at: jorlowitzgmail.com. Thanks and cheers, Jake Ocaasi via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:41, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Tyagayya 1946.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Tyagayya 1946.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Knowledge is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Knowledge page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:13, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Medical Translation Newsletter Aug./Sept. 2014
Issue 2, Aug./Sept. 2014
by CFCF
Feature – Ebola articles
During August we have translated Disease and it is now live in more than 60 different languages! To help us focus on African languages Rubric has donated a large number of articles in languages we haven't previously reached–so a shout out them, and Ian Henderson from Rubric who's joined us here at Knowledge. We're very happy for our continued collaboration with both Rubric and Translators without Borders!
- Just some of our over 60 translations:
- New roles and guides!
At Wikimania there were so many enthusiastic people jumping at the chance to help out the Medical Translation Project, but unfortunately not all of them knew how to get started. That is why we've been spending considerable time writing and improving guides! They are finally live, and you can find them at our home-page!
- New sign up page!
We're proud to announce a new sign up page at WP:MTSIGNUP! The old page was getting cluttered and didn't allow you to speficy a role. The new page should be easier to sign up to, and easier to navigate so that we can reach you when you're needed!
- Style guides for translations
Translations are of both full articles and shorter articles continues. The process where short articles are chosen for translation hasn't been fully transparent. In the coming months we hope to have a first guide, so that anyone who writes medical or health articles knows how to get their articles to a standard where they can be translated! That's why we're currently working on medical good lede criteria! The idea is to have a similar peer review process to good article nominations, but only for ledes.
- Some more stats
- In July, 18 full article translations went live (WP:RTT), and an additional 6 simplified versions went live (WP:RTTS)!
- We have a number of new lead integrators into Dutch, Polish, Arabic and Bulgarian, with more to come in smaller languages! (Find them here old sign up page)
- We were mentioned in a Global Voices Online report by Subhashish Panigrahi at Doctors and translators are working together to bridge Knowledge's medical language gap
- New medical professionals have started, dedicated to working in Odiya and Kinyarwanda!
