- Not a blatant violation of the username policy. Casting about the net, this doesn't appear to be a company. I think it's a person's personal presence on the Internet. Current requests for reduction in protection level
Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.

Reason: Wide consensus is good. ND61F (talk) 06:11, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- @ND61F, users with less than 500 edits and 30 days of experience can't engage in that topic area unless they're simply making edit requests. "Wide consensus" on that page move discussion isn't possible, at least not in the way you seem to be thinking. Nythar (💬-🍀) 06:20, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

- And I respect your opinion, although I have to say that there's no point requesting this because the page's protection level isn't going to be decreased to allow for participation in that discussion by non-extended confirmed editors; the guidelines are quite strict with regards to contentious topic areas. Nythar (💬-🍀) 06:35, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- @ND61F: ArbCom wouldn't have imposed the 500/30 restriction unless every lesser method to try and kerb the disruption was failing or had already failed. And the fact that a fifth ARBPIA case was recently spitballed by ArbCom should tell you that the 500/30 restrictions are themselves failing to kerb the disruption in this very emotionally-charged ethno-political topic area. That is not an argument to ignore the restrictions. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v 06:48, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

Current requests for edits to a protected page
Please request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among
{{Edit protected}}
,{{Edit template-protected}}
,{{Edit extended-protected}}
, or{{Edit semi-protected}}
to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Knowledge (XXG):Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}
template should be used. - Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Knowledge (XXG):Requested moves, not here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
- This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

A good editor and content creator, they have created a total of 133 articles. One was deleted via G14 in 2022, and another was deleted via A3 back in 2014. Since then, they have created many BLPs and other topic articles, none of which have been deleted. I think they are good to go. GrabUp - Talk 16:44, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Not done. I think it's been some ten years User:Hansmuller, since we interacted on nl:Lise Meitner. It's nice to see you here. I see you've been blocked indefinitely in the Dutch Knowledge (XXG) for various conflicts in Knowledge (XXG) space unrelated to article content, but this did not impact my decision.
- I've checked ~10 creations and have noted & tagged one major issue (an uncited short para in a BLP), and a few minor ones (formatting, which I've corrected). You tend to WP:OVERCITE (having 4-5 citations after a paragraph, for instance in Sol de Carvalho), which makes it more difficult to connect sources to specific content. It might be better to put additional citations in a Further reading section if there is unused information in them. I'm also a bit concerned with the Car speed and energy consumption AfD, which resulted in a redirect. Created end of December, it shows essay and textbook tendencies which I don't expect in articles from autopatrolled editors.
- Overall, feel free to nominate yourself when you've created another 8-12 clean articles, as we're not far from the threshold. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 14:08, 21 September 2024 (UTC)

GnocchiFan has made 5,000+ edits this year alone including seven Good Articles. They make extensive use of WMF Library to improve sourcing and prose. I believe they are both an excellent editor and also communicator, evident at sensitive article topics at 1984 anti-Sikh riots and Gender and sexual minorities in the Ottoman Empire. In short, let's reduce NPP backlog by giving them auto-patrolled status. ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 12:11, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Also worth mentioning GnocchiFan created 84 non redirect articles. One article was deleted Sophie Ottaway 8-months ago. ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 12:25, 21 September 2024 (UTC)

I would like to introduce another editor with a strong history of editing and article creation. They have created 2,114 articles, including 2 GAs. Their creations include BLPs, which are essential for obtaining the AP flag. Only one of their articles was deleted in 2023 via AfD, and others are G6. Since then, no articles have been deleted. I believe it would be beneficial to grant them this right to help reduce the NPP backlog. GrabUp - Talk 13:27, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- I found out after nominating that they had previously been granted AP by MusikAnimal, but it was later revoked in 2022 by Primefac due to copyright violations. I am not withdrawing the nomination, as it was two years ago, and the issue may have been resolved, so let’s see if they can be trusted now. GrabUp - Talk 13:42, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- (Non-admin comment, but I'm bored) I spot checked their most recent creation,Anthony Michael Hillas, made after this request. Compared to the source
Hillas returned to the University of Leeds in 1959 as a lecturer and made it understood that he refused to be assigned duties similar to those he performed at Harwell
He returned to Leeds in 1959 as a lecturer making it understood that he would not work on the embryonic air-shower experiment
His Monte Carlo computer program, MOCCA, for high-energy air shower studies, was used extensively in the design of the Pierre Auger Observatory.
His final Monte Carlo program for high-energy shower studies, known as MOCCA, was used extensively in the design of what became the Pierre Auger Observatory.

- Spotchecking more, like Thomas Wallace (horticulturalist) to , reveals similar issues
After sufficient recovery from his wounds, Wallace was assigned to the Anti-Gas Department of the Royal Engineers
When he had recovered sufficiently from his wounds Wallace, was seconded to the Royal Engineers for service in the Anti-Gas Department.
When the land to be sloughed up had a soil type which might prove deficient in some minerals, Wallace recommended the use of indicator plots.

Seems to be an experienced content creator whose creations are no longer in need of input from NPP. They don't have a clean record of their articles being kept at AfD, but the last deletion was a year and half and 60 articles ago, and looking through a random sampling of their work since then doesn't reveal any major issues. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 04:50, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

I am requesting file mover rights because I have experience in handling and maintaining various file types and I believe my contributions to several files and my various file rename requests as seen in the editing history here showcase my understanding of the naming policy for files. File names are often a decent part of my contributions with film and television-related articles, and carrying out these renames to satisfy naming conventions rather than having to request them every time a file needs to be renamed would prove beneficial in their up-keeping. Hi, as part of working at AfC I come across submissions on editors main userpage or sandbox that need to be cleanly moved to draft (i.e. without leaving a redirect). I stopped moving such submissions years ago as if the editor starts another article I was then the creator rather the actual creator which never seemed right to me. It would also be useful for when new editors create/move drafts to the Knowledge (XXG) or Template namespaces either in error or attempting to promote/spam. I frequently make/request moves – usually either making titles WP:CONCISE, or draftifying/fixing typos in titles as part of WP:NPP. I would like to be able to handle more of these myself, including WP:R2 suppression, but especially WP:MONOTYPICFAUNA pageswaps. These usually require updating the categories afterward, which will be much easier if I'm doing the pageswap myself, rather than remembering to come back once my request at WP:RM/T is carried out. Speaking of which, I've really appreciated WP:RM/T, and if I'm granted the pagemover right I intend to "give back" by handling requests there. jlwoodwa (talk) 01:09, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi! I believe that I'd be a good Pending Changes Reviewer, as I have a good amount of time on my hands, and can do monotonous tasks, like denying obvious vandalism, and the like. I meet, what I believe are all the requirements for this right, and humbly ask to receive this privilege. Thanks in advance! Legendbird (talk) 09:06, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

Reason for requesting pending changes reviewer rights: I am an Wikipedian for more than three years and part of various wikiprojects I need permission to expand my works on Knowledge (XXG) and also to observe Knowledge (XXG) articles. Cactinites (talk) 15:28, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

I would like access to rollback for more efficiently combating vandalism. I have gained experience in patrolling RecentChanges. I also make sure to always warn (and welcome new users) after reverting their edits on their talk page. I declare that I have read through all the policies regarding vandalism. Bunnypranav (talk) 11:01, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Not done I noticed you started actively reverting vandalism a few days ago. While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I'd like to see you spend more time gaining experience fighting vandalism before assigning you advanced permissions. Keep up the good work, and consider reapplying in a month. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits (I recommend using tools such as Twinkle or Ultraviolet which makes this extremely easy). Thanks, Fastily 07:36, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the positive advice. In all of my reverts till now I have always left a warning without fail. Bunnypranav (talk) 07:57, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

I have made quite a few edit requests in the Template talk namespace, as well as edits directly in the template namespace. I always test my changes in the sandbox before making edits directly. I am also a Commons admin and have made lots of technical changes in templates there as well. I am currently focussing on turning templates to be dark mode compatible, and many templates and editnotices are template protected. Therefore I request template editor so it can be more easy to implement dark mode compatibility into templates. - Matrix, do you see this as a relatively short-term, get-all-dark-mode-sorted type of situation, or do you see yourself needing this for other applications? (please do not ping on reply) Primefac (talk) 17:01, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- To be honest, more of the former. I would be happy with having this right for 3 months or so. —Matrix(!) {user - talk? -
